I was reminded this morning of a useful tidbit my brother the sportswriter learned on a trip to Texas covering the Nevada v. Rice football game.
In Texas, if you are talking to one person, use “y’all.” If you are talking to more than one person, use “all y’all.” Apparently, it’s a plurality thing.
